Foss Services Limited was founded in 2018 with one clear mandate: provide compliant, professionally managed recruitment and staffing to Ghana's maritime and multi-sector economy — from the port city that powers it all.
Working from our base in Community 4, Tema, we started with a single maritime recruitment desk and quickly expanded into oil & gas, permanent staffing, HR consultancy, hospitality and general facility services. Today, Foss Services operates five specialist service lines, each led by a dedicated consultant with direct industry experience.
In 2019 we achieved approval from the Ghana Maritime Authority as a seafarer recruitment and placement agency under the Merchant Shipping Act, 2003 (Act 645) — a milestone that remains the cornerstone of our credibility. Our GMA certificate (Cert. GT-014-5281) is renewed annually through a full compliance audit.

Recruitment agencies that charge job-seekers create perverse incentives and harm communities. Foss Services has never charged a candidate a placement fee and never will.
Sector depth
We hire consultants with lived experience in their sector. Our maritime desk is led by a former seafarer. Our HR consultancy by a practising HR professional. That depth shows in the quality of shortlists.
