Certification & Compliance
Every placement made by Foss Services is backed by a current Ghana Maritime Authority licence and full MLC 2006 compliance — the trust spine of our business.
Ghana Maritime Authority Approved.
Foss Services Limited is an approved seafarer recruitment and placement provider under the Merchant Shipping Act, 2003 (Act 645). Our GMA certificate is renewed annually through a full compliance audit of our processes, contracts and records.
The GMA operates under the International Maritime Organization (IMO) framework and enforces the Maritime Labour Convention 2006 (MLC 2006) requirements as incorporated into Ghana's maritime law. Only agencies that pass the GMA's audit — covering seafarer contract documentation, fee structures, welfare provisions and repatriation guarantees — may legally recruit and place Ghanaian seafarers on domestic or internationally flagged vessels.
Foss Services has held continuous GMA approval since 2019. Our certificate number is GT-014-5281.
