Does Foss Services recruit for both maritime and non-maritime roles?
Yes. Our recruitment division runs three specialist desks: a maritime & crewing desk (GMA-licensed), an oil & gas desk (offshore and FPSO), and a permanent staff & payroll desk that covers all sectors — HR, hospitality, facility services and corporate functions.
Does Foss Services charge candidates a placement fee?
No. In line with MLC 2006 Regulation 1.4 (for maritime roles) and our ethical recruitment policy across all divisions, Foss Services does not charge candidates any placement, registration or processing fee. Our service fees are paid entirely by the employer.
How does Foss Services verify candidate qualifications?
Our consultants conduct document verification as part of every screening process — STCW certificates for seafarers, BOSIET/FOET for offshore roles, academic and professional certificates for permanent staff. We request originals or certified copies and cross-check with issuing bodies where possible.
