Chief Engineer

Maritime Contract Tema / International Route 4 months on / 2 months off

Foss Services Limited is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer on behalf of a vessel owner operating on the West Africa route. The successful candidate will oversee all engineering operations aboard the vessel, ensuring compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL and MLC 2006 conventions.

Key responsibilities

Manage all engine-room operations and machinery maintenance schedules
Ensure compliance with port state control (PSC) requirements
Oversee bunkering operations and fuel management
Supervise engineering ratings and junior officers

Requirements

STCW Certificate of Competency — Chief Engineer (Class I or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years sea-going experience, including 2 as Chief Engineer
Valid GMDSS, Medical Fitness and flag-state endorsements
Proficiency in planned maintenance systems (PMS)
